Biography |
Tara
Galeano is the principal and founder of the Galeano Group. She
earned her Master’s Degree in Psychology: Contemplative
Psychotherapy from Naropa University in 2000 and received her
license from the State of Colorado in 2004. Currently an adjunct
faculty member at Naropa University, she teaches in both the Core
College and the Contemplative Psychotherapy Departments.
In honoring her commitment to support socially engaged organizations,
she works with Boulder Pride, a resource center for GLBTQ folks
and their families, and Reading to End Racism, an organization
that brings readers to students and their schools in an effort
to increase awareness of racism and empower students to end it.
Volunteering in her local community is one of the ways Tara supports
the organizations that are important to her.
Tara
Galeano’s on-going work is to combat all forms of oppression.
Over the years, she has been socially engaged as a student,
teacher, writer, and psychotherapist.
